Kesner LaGuerre has spent his career helping people find their voice — and he means that literally. As a young aspiring R&B singer, he dreamed of performing on stage but was held back by severe stage fright. The years of practice, courage, and honest reckoning it took to finally step in front of an audience with confidence didn’t just change him — they gave him a purpose. That’s the transformation he’s been helping others chase ever since.
He joined LifeHikes in 2018 and now serves as Director of Coach Development, leading the growth of the global coaching team while continuing to work directly with senior leaders at organizations like Mastercard, IBM, Universal Pictures, Meta, and Oliver Wyman. His coaching tends to focus on the things that actually determine whether a leader succeeds: how they communicate under pressure, how they show up in a room, and how they navigate complexity without losing clarity. He’s also part of a long-term partnership with The Mastercard Foundation aimed at training 12,000 youth across Africa and connecting them to meaningful employment by 2027 — work he finds deeply meaningful.
Kesner’s background doesn’t fit neatly into one category. He’s worked across sales, pharma, the music industry, consulting, keynote speaking, and corporate training. That range gives him a different kind of lens — one that’s useful when coaching people who operate in fast-moving, high-stakes environments. He works within the GROW Coaching Model and LifeHikes DOC Method, and his areas of focus include communication, leadership, resilience, and identity.
Based in the NY/NJ area, Kesner is the kind of person who always has a book going and probably has three podcast tabs open on YouTube right now. When he’s not coaching or speaking, he’s at home with his wife Mary and daughters Tydai and Savannah — which, by his account, is exactly where he wants to be.
"What an AWESOME session!!! It is incredibly difficult to curate an engaging full day of training with busy professional and Kesner did just that and MORE! I learned so much and will start employing some of what I learn tomorrow in my meetings.”
