LifeHikes® appreciates the interest you have shown by using our services and products, visiting our website or other online communication channels, including, but not limited to, our social media channels, newsletters, blogs (together the “LifeHikes Pages”). This Privacy Notice also applies to all the Personal Data that we collect when you interact with any LifeHikes Pages, such as when you visit our website, when you purchase or use the products or services we offer, when you subscribe to our newsletter, when you contact us via our website, email or phone, when you use our mobile applications or when you connect to our cloud-based services. LifeHikes will disclose personal data only in conformance with this Privacy Notice and/or when required by law. From time to time, LifeHikes may sell a business or a part of a business to another company. Such a transfer of ownership could include the transfer of your personal data directly related to that business to the purchasing company.
Your Rights
Once you have provided us with your personal data, you have reasonable access to that information so that you can update, modify or, if legally possible, delete it by contacting LifeHikes at privacy@lifehikes.com. You will also be provided with an opt-out opportunity when necessary. We encourage you to keep your personal settings and personal data complete and current.
Overseas Transfers
The information you provide may be transferred to third party countries in providing you with the services. For any third party countries that do not have similar protections in place regarding your data and restrictions on its use as set out in this policy, we will take steps to ensure adequate protections are in place to ensure the security of your information. Your Choices
We strive to know you better so we can serve you better – while at the same time respecting your choices about how we use your Personal Data. Your personal data may be transferred from your home country to other LifeHikes companies, in different locations around the world, which may communicate with you about LifeHikes services, products, services or special offers that you may be interested in. If local law requires it, we will ask for prior consent to transfer your personal data outside of your geographic region. Where local law requires it, we will ask you to “opt-in” or affirmatively consent to the processing of your Personal Data. For example, where local law requires it, we will only send you newsletters, or other info, if you have subscribed to them. Similarly, where local law require, we will ask you to “opt-in” before using user profiling techniques. You will always have the option to unsubscribe from any targeted communication from LifeHikes or change your personal profile information by emailing us at privacy@lifehikes.com. We will respond to your access and/or correction request within 4 weeks.

When you participate in various social media forums like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tencent, Baidu, LinkedIn, etc., you should be familiar with and understand the tools provided by those sites that allow you to make choices about how you share the personal data in your social media profile(s). LifeHikes is bound by the privacy practices or policies of these third parties, and this Privacy Notice, so we encourage you to read the applicable privacy notices, terms of use and related information about how your personal data is used in these social media environments. Also, depending on the choices you have made regarding your settings on various social media sites (and/or in combination with your settings on the LifeHikes Pages), certain personal data may be shared with LifeHikes, about your online activities and social media profiles.
Links To Other Sites
During your online journey across our websites you may encounter links to other websites for your convenience and information. These websites may operate independently from LifeHikes, and may have their own privacy notices, statements or policies. We strongly suggest that you review them to understand how your Personal Data may be processed in connection with those sites, as we are not responsible for the content of non-LifeHikes owned or managed sites, or the use or privacy practices of those sites.
Mobile Apps
We may obtain the information you provide when you register with us or you contact us through certain feedback channels. Such information may include your name, e-mail address, username, password and/or other Personal Data. In addition, the mobile app may collect certain information automatically upon your consent, such as the type of mobile device you use, the device’s unique ID and IP address, your mobile device’s operating system, the type of browsers you use, and information about the location of your mobile device. Cloud
LifeHikes may store your Personal Data in a cloud. This means that your Personal Data may be processed on behalf of LifeHikes by a cloud service provider and could be stored in different locations around the world. LifeHikes makes use of organizational and contractual measures to protect your personal data and to impose similar, but in no way less restrictive, requirements on our cloud services providers, including requirements that your personal data be processed exclusively for the purposes mentioned above.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
We recognize and take seriously our responsibility to protect the Personal Data you entrust to us from loss, misuse or unauthorized access. LifeHikes uses a variety of security technologies and organizational procedures to help protect your Personal Data. For example, we implement access controls, use firewalls, secure servers and encrypt certain types of data, such as financial information and other sensitive data.
Data Retention
We are committed to retaining your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, as outlined in this Privacy Notice.
1.Personal Information and Account Data:
Your personal information, including name, email address, gender, date of birth, company, title, physical address, and short bio, will be retained for the duration of your active LifeHikes account status.
Personal information collected through other LifeHikes applications, such as during personalized coaching sessions, will be retained in the respective system. This may include, but is not limited to, names, email addresses, and any other information provided in response to session-related questions.
Upon LifeHikes account deletion or a specific deletion request for data collected outside of LifeHikes accounts, all personal information will be permanently removed from our systems within 14 working days [max. retention period].
2. Client Usage Data:
Video presentations, performance reports, and course materials will be retained for the duration of your active LifeHikes account status to support your ongoing learning journey.
These records are considered integral to your learning history and will be deleted alongside your personal information upon account deletion within 14 working days [max. retention period].
3. Application Data:
Device information, usage data, location data, and diagnostic data collected through our LifeHikes application will be retained for as long as you use the application.
Upon application deletion or withdrawal of consent, this data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 14 working days [max. retention period].
4. Inactive LifeHikes Accounts:
We do not automatically delete LifeHikes accounts due to inactivity, recognizing the value of lifelong learning. Inactive accounts will be securely stored and protected, and you can reactivate your account at any time by logging in.
5. Financial Transaction and Payment Data:
Financial Transaction records and payment information will be retained for 7 years [max. retention period] to comply with financial regulations and audit requirements, even if the client account is deleted.
6. General Communication and Support:
Correspondence and support requests will be retained for the duration of your active LifeHikes account status and will be deleted within 14 working days [max. retention period] upon request for account deletion.
7. Web Cookies and Usage Data:
You have full control over your cookies and can clear them at any time to manage your browsing experience.
8. Marketing, Survey, and Research Data:
Data collected for marketing and research purposes, such as feedback, survey responses, and market analysis data, will be anonymized and aggregated for statistical purposes.
Special Information For Parents or Guardians
While LifeHikes Pages are not generally targeted at children under the age of 16, it is LifeHikes’s policy to comply with applicable laws when they require parent or guardian permission before collecting, using or disclosing information of children under the age of 16. LifeHikes strongly recommends that parents and guardians take an active role in supervising the online activities of their children. If you believe we have collected personal data from a person who is under the age of 16, please contact us at privacy@lifehikes.com.

The services that LifeHikes provides are always evolving and the form and nature of these services may change from time to time without prior notice to you.
