David Fizdale is an American professional basketball coach who was most recently the head coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

A native of Los Angeles, Fizdale studied at John C. Fremont High School, where he served as a point guard for the school’s basketball team. He then enrolled at the University of San Diego, from where he obtained a B.A. degree in communications with a minor in sociology.

From 2003 to 2016, he was employed as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat.
