Zhenguo Yao is the Executive Vice President and General Manager, Gas and Power, Siemens Greater China.

Yao joined Siemens Power Generation Group in China in 2001 as a Sales Manager, responsible for sales of the steam and gas power plants in the region. He took over the position as Sales General Manager for new power plants in China in 2004, and achieved great business results since then in different business areas, including the first 1000MW steam power plant project, the first F-class gas turbine power plant project as well as the first 4.0 MW offshore wind power project.

Yao has also been a member of the Board of Directors in several Siemens joint ventures in China, driving the development of local competence for required technology transfer and localization.
