Isabel Pickl Bermejo
Based in Berlin, Germany
Isabel is passionate about helping people grow, become more confident, and develop new skills. As a public speaking coach with LifeHikes, she finds it especially rewarding to guide participants through a process that not only leaves them smiling but also transforms their communication skills in meaningful ways. Isabel's love for her work stems from the visible impact it has on others, which is why she feels privileged to call it her job.
Her journey into public speaking began during her bachelor's studies in Speech Art & Speech Training, a highly competitive program where she was one of only eight students selected. Initially interested in voice acting, Isabel found herself immersed in the world of film dubbing, commercials, and radio, but it was public speaking that truly captured her passion. She pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Rhetoric & Public Speaking, and despite being the only student focused on this area, she thrived in the challenge.
Isabel's career includes coaching for diverse organizations, from universities and NGOs in Germany to high-profile clients like the Foundation of the German Economy and Givaudan International. In addition to her work as a public speaking coach, Isabel is also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), nearing ICF ACC credentials.
Outside of coaching, she enjoys gardening, despite a self-proclaimed talent for accidentally killing plants—but she's improving!
"Katie brought energy and on-point advice and techniques to a group of consultants (who are used to doing the presenting!) and kept them engaged throughout multiple sessions over two days. She was extremely credible because she did her homework to ensure that she understood our business and could speak our language. I also appreciated her flexibility as we developed the agenda and content in advance of the meeting. And most importantly, we heard great feedback from the participants!"
